Windows 2003 AD and user profiles
Hi all,
We are a small company and currently we have a Windows 2003 ent. with the active directory and grouppolicy installed.
We try to manage that we can log on to any pc with any account, this works well. The only missing is thing is that the users desktop (his own configuration) favorites etc. won't load.
We have kixtart running so the network mappings works. The e-mail works but the only thing missing is the users own desktop and favorites. I've seen we can configure this in Grouppolicy but how can we redirect to the maps inside the users profile
FE:
You can choose to redirect to users profile, when we do that it won't take the content of Desktop on the desktop
You can choose to redirect to users files, when we do that it won't works (we get U: doesn't exist)
We also have a logonscript that makes the mappings, that works fine.
How can we manage that all users can log on to any client?
Thanx!

I did,
I've created a user in our domaincontroller called Test
Test has his profile on: \\server-14\users\test\profile
Test is also member of the group Flexworkers
Flexworkers in grouppolicy will get a redirect for the desktop to %userprofile%\Desktop
Test is also member of Users
Users folder "my documents" will be U: and U: will redirect to
\\server-14\users\test
Still the desktopitems in
\\server-14\users\test\profile\Desktop won't show on the Desktop.
If i try to reach \\server-14\users\test\profile\Desktop it is available
