Windows 2000/2003 Net.exe gets deleted automatically?
Hi Allwe have Server running with Win-2000 and Win-2003with multiple domains.Very frequently Net.exe goes missing resulting Net SNMP not working.We usually rename net1.exe to net.exe and problem gets resolved.But we need permanent solution as why this net.exe gets deleted automatically?Deepak

Hi Deepak,To keep track of who delete the file, the thing you can try is to enable auditon the volume which contains the net.exe file on the file server. The system security log in the event viewer will log any actions (including modification, deletion) to the files or folders on that server.
