Windows 10, windows server 2003, printer problems.

Hello, I`m new here, hope to get some help soon :)

So, the client of mine, is having a trouble with his printer. He uses windows 10, and when connects to windows server 2003, sometimes he can print anything, but sometimes printer just dissapears... It been ok with same printer ant windows xp.

Have you tried updating the printer drivers on the server and workstation?

If it is an older printer and it doesn't have Windows 10 drivers you can use 8.1 - 7 drivers.

It sounds like the 2003 driver is loading on the Windows 10 machine and causing the Print Spooler service to terminate there.

Check the event logs on the Windows 10 machine for application failures.  Look in the System and Application events.

If you are hitting this issue you can create a local printer on the Win 10 machine that uses a driver designed for the newer operating system requirements.

If you need to go down that path get back to us, the solution has been in place since XP connecting to NT4 servers.
