Win 7 crashing on Toshiba Satalite
My friend's Toshiba Satalite, recently upgraded to Win 7 (32 bit) Pro from Vista Home Premium. Used Easy Transfer to move user data after running Toshiba Win 7 update after clean install. Any suggestions apprecaited. Symptoms are: sporadic blue screens Event id = 18 Source: Microsoft-Windows-WHEA-Logger Reported by component: Processor Core Error Source: Machine Check Exception Error Type: Unknown Error desc = A fatal hardware error has occurred Bruce Perler MSFT

Thanks for the suggestions. I have used Toshiba's recommend upgrade path to Windows 7 for their Satalite laptops and continue to have crashing issues with this, now 3 year old laptop. Unless there's something more speicific you can suggest, I'm assuming my problem is acutally failing hardware. If you have another suggestion, I'm interested as buying a new laptop is not my favorite use of money and, 3 years is about all that can be expected these days. Thanks,BruceBruce Perler MSFT
