One file server running Win 2K server. You can copy/download files from the server and paste at your workstation but you cant upload a file as small as 50kb to the server. The process just hang after few seconds it started. Tried ftp etc...same results Very very confuse and need ideas.....

Hi ross, Please provide the ipconfig /all output from client and workstation Are you able to ping from the workstation ?, Make sure you access the server using \\ipaddress , \\FQDN , \\NETBIOS names to check if the workstation is able to communicate with server and open the shared folder on workstation , make sure you have workstation service up and running. you can try restarting the service Please perform automatic updates to make sure mrxsmb.sys rdbss.sys are of latest versions. Also you can test the same functionality in safe mode with networking ( at client side )
