Win 2008 TS Box in 2003SBS Domain?
Can I/should I add a new Windows 2008 Server (being used purely for TS connections) into a SBS2003 domain? The 2008 server will be running Navision with the main database being stored on the SBS2003 box - I guess the DB could be moved to the 2008 box if needed. Thanks for any advice.

Hello, there is no problem adding a Windows server 2008 machine to the SBS domain. Don't forget that you also require the Remote desktop licensing installed and the correct RD CALs. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc725933.aspxBest regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.

Thanks for your response. So the SBS2003 would be the AD too, and so the user accounts should be created on it for the TS users? Yes - I have the required licenses for the TS

Hello, the Windows server 2008 is a domain member machine as a Windows server 2003 would be. Domain user accounts can logon to it.Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.
