Thanks Sainath.I have read that article. But actually I don't know how to find out the error that force the performance counter to be disabled. I have tried to reenable the performance counter from regedit, but it disable again.

Hello Deadfishhhhh,Please try to removed the following registry key to see if it helps.HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\RemoteAccess\Performance --> the Performance Subkey which might have got corrupted due to very old version of the %SystemRoot%\System32\rasctrs.dll.Note: Please export the registry before you remove it.Best Regards,Wilson JiaThis posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.

Thanks Wilson, I have tried to remove the registry, but the same incident occurs. This error always occurs when I access a .mdb file from a client computer through the share folder. Any other possible solution I can try? Thanks.
