Win 2003 tasks hanging in Running state in Task Scheduler
We use Windows Task Scheduler to run scripts. The tasks go into
Running state for periods ranging from 1-2 to 30 minutes before actually running the scripts. The tasks could be configured under a domain or local account - same issue. Once the tasks actually start they complete successfully but
these delays cause huge issues due to incorrect timing. Can somebody please help identify and help to resolve this? We are at our wit's end with this problem.
Thanks!

Things to check - can you run the script manually (while logged in as the user account you specified in the scheduled task) and see it run completely?
Can you manually run the task by right-clicking / run now?
What do you see in the task history in Scheduled Tasks?
Event log errors?
Lanwench ** Do not fold, spindle or mutilate. Fill in the box completely and erase any stray marks. Use only a #2 pencil.
