Hi We are unable to install SP2 on a 2003 (Enterprise Edition) server. The install starts well and stops at backing up registry files and some times stops at initial stage(during system check).Server has 3GB of free space in C drive. I also deleted all .tmp files and started again..I have tried some troubleshooting steps mentioned here (first 3 methods) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822798 however, nothing seems to be resolved. Any idea which is causing the issue, any help would be helpful.Thanks.

hi there, One way to troubleshoot is to check the svcpack.log file for errors which will tell us where the error is and how to proceed on.Are you installing with the /ER or /O switch when installing?
