Win2k8 Terminal Server blank blue screen upon login with non-admin account
The title says it all really. When I log in using a non-admin domain or local account on a Windows 2008 Terminal Server, there is no desktop or taskbar - just a plain blue background. If I log in as an administrator, I am presented with a healthy desktop. I'm sure the solution is straight forward, but initial google searches haven't produced the golden nugget just yet. In addition, having added the Terminal Server role and pointed it to a license server with ample licenses, if I try to RDP to the server as the 3rd user, I receive an error: "The computer can't connect to the remote computer. Try connecting again. If the problem continues, contact the owner of the remote computer or your network administrator" If it were a session limit ... how about a message to the effect of "max # of connections exceeded"?? Any help on both conditions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Red
