Win2K8 R2 64BIT Serive Pack
Hi, I am trying to install Win2K8 SP1 on a machine running Windows 2008 R2 Standard Edition Version 6.1 Build (7600). When I run the install I get the following message... This service pack does not apply to the version of Windows running on this computer. I have downloaded and Windows6.0-KB936330-X64-wave0.exe I have also downloaded SP2 Windows6.0-KB948465X-64.exe and get the same message. Can someone tell me it this is the correct SP and what may be causing this error? Thanks Simon

Hi, Windows Server 2008 comes with SP1, so you don’t need to install the service pack 1 for Windows Server 2008. By the way, Windows Server 2008 R2 is a new server platform, the service pack 1 for Windows Server 2008 R2 is developing now, you can’t install the service pack of Windows Server 2008 on Windows Server 2008 R2 computer.
