Win2008r2 auditing CALs with KMS?
I know this question sounds crazy, but I just want to be 100%. We are wanting to upgrade to win2008 before our next fiscal year and we really will purchase/upgrade to the Windows 2008 User CAls as soon as we get the money, after the end of the fiscal year. I am looking for the "technical"answer to this question, but when we upgrade to win2008r2 I know everything starts getting tracked with a KMS server, etc. Is there anything new that audits or tracks Windows User CALs? I doubt there is anything that would only allow a certain number of connections like "Per Server Mode", but I want to check and be sure. This really is an honest company and we will talk to our TAM, but I am looking for a technical answer on this. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/us/client-licensing.aspxDan Heim
