Hey guys I have a problem that I can 't seem to resolve, so I'm hoping to get help from you more experience admins. Automatic home folder permissions are not set when the homeDir gets created from the profile tab. I have used the following article to set the permissions on the parent folder. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc757013.aspx The user is not able to use the home folder if anything other than full control is granted to the helpdesk technician creating the accounts. I would like to avoid giving the helpdesk tech full control of user homeDirs. So any help with this problem will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi, Whether the helpdesk group is domain admin or not? What's the permission you would like to give them (instead of full control)? And "user is not able to use the home folder if anything other than full control is granted to the helpdesk technician" because users cannot access the home folder or helpdesk cannot create the home folder? (I assume the second one) so what's the error they receive? And here are 2 related articles. You can try to use a script or group policy to create the home folder.
