Win2008R2: Problem with access to network shares
Hello,
we have some Windows 2008 R2 servers. There is always the standard user "Administrator" which has installed the server. Additionally we add at least one other user to the group "administrators", lets call him "adminhelper". These users, the group or the
network share don't have any restrictions.
When I try to access to the administrative shares (c$, d$ ...) or to normal network shares with a client (Windows XP SP3 or Windows 7), this is only successful with the "Administrator". When trying to access it with the "adminhelper" this doesn't work.
The servers are installed by default, there are no group policies because the servers are in workgroups.
Is there any trick to get access with other "administrators" to the network shares on these servers?
greetings
Stefan

Here it is. Let me know if this works. Thanks
"UAC is set up to not allow access to default shares remotely. To enable, set this key in the registry
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\system\LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy
0 - build filtered token (Remote UAC enabled)
1 - build elevated token (Remote UAC disabled)
By setting the DWORD entry to 1, you will be able to access the administrative shares since the remote logon token will not be filtered."
