Hello atkmh_at_Sonic.net,One doesn't remove SP2 if the option is not there an the uninstall folder is missing.The folder %SystemRoot%\$NTServicepackUninstall$ contains the backed up files when the service pack was installed.those are used to roll back to when the service pack is removed.Since that folder is not present, there are no files to roll back to.So since you are trying to reinstall WinServ2003, you may want to create a slipstreamed install point that includes SP2 so as to be able to do the upgrade. Hi, From your description, I understand that when trying to reinstall Windows Server 2003, it stated SP2 had been installed and you should uninstall SP2 first. However, SP2 cannot be uninstalled since Spuninst.exe is not found. To bypass this problem, besides create a slipstreamed install package, you can also reformat the partition before installing Windows Server 2003.
