Will Microsoft Office Small Business 2007 work with SQL Server 2014 Express?

I had to reinstall MS Office Small Business 2007 after upgrading from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 10 Home (64bit). During installation I was notified that SQL Server 2005 is not supported in Windows 10, and I should upgrade to SQL Server 2014.

1. How do I upgrade the SQL Server 2005 that came with MS Office Small Business 2007 to SQL Server 2014 Express?

2. How do I get MS Office Small Business 2007 to work with SQL Server 2014 Express?

Hello,

That SQL Server 2005 is probably linked to the Business Contact Manager (BCM) that comes with Office. If that is the case, I have seen many users unable to make BCM to work because BCM only supports SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008 as database and both are not supported on Windows 10. Please ask on the following forum about any possible fix/workaround/solution for this issue:

Hope this helps.
