Why sql sERVER products are so frustratingly complicated to install???

Dear Ms Team,

I found MS SQL Server products are frustrating, complex and difficult while installing.

As per my experience , installing SQL sever need to follow some experts tips.

During installation it will ask for sp1 need to install first, Powershell, >net framework.. blah blah blah......

Why don't u packed the whole compnts in single setup or download automatically thru online.

Except SQLserver 2005 Express edition , none of the other types are easy to install.

Even some people need to format the system to reinstall SQL server.

Currently I am trying to install SQLSever2014 in my Win8.1 32 system, Installation completed successfully but now after clicking SQL Management studio is not working at all.

Error Mess can't find one or more components, Please reinstall.

After trying reinstall doesn't work. Dear Team why this complexity???

EVEN IF i TRY INSTALLINg SQlserver management Studio 2008R2, It doesn't allow to install stating blah blah again.

Services for SQL server and Browser are running but anable to Open Mgmt studio.

while clicking Discovry report, it becam disabled and nothing is showing. It focus on MAP toolit.

This summary.txt file is for Discovery report you ran not for installation of SQL Server 2014. Anyways its clear that SQL Server 2014 is installed

Now as you said when you launch SQL Server 2014 SSMS nothing happens this seems strange, dont you get any error?

Hi Shanky,

I did installed by downloading the same but of no use. after different traials, I opt for unistalling all the existing sqlserver related setups from programs and features.

and Try installing new SQLserver2014 setup and it is succesfully installed.

But the management Studio setup is unable to installed properly stating the similar mess like once in the beginning.

, even though the setup name is management studio, It doesn't seems to contain Mgmt Studio.

ONLY thing I LIKE TO HAVE IS MANAGEMENT STUDIO INSTALLED .

Well every thing looks fine to me. You already have 2014 SSMS installed so its not allowing you to install any further.

Can you go to run and type SSMS and see if SSMS window pops up.

Well it says SSMS is installed. But unless you show some error I guess its difficult to help you. Can you look at event viewer and see if you can find any error message.
