In 2008 R2 SP1 VM I installed a new private domain (DC/DNS/DHCP in the same VM) called cluster.test with subnet 192.168.1.0/24. Then I added a 2nd virtual NIC for company network with 10.32.0.0/16 for management purpose. These two virtual NICs are corresponding to two different physical NICs. I expect to see company virtual NIC showing company's domain name here, but why does it show my private domain name? Thanks!JH

It is bad practice to have two NICs in a DC (and it will cause all sorts of problems). If you really want to connect these two networks, set up a vm as a router between the two networks. Do not multihome the DC. Bill

because both NICs are part of the same network, and I agree wil Bill, you should remove one of the network cards if this is a DC.
