Why does SQL Server 2014 SP1 Express Install Successfully in Windows 10.0.10532, but not in Windows 10.0.10240?

I have just installed a new 2TB drive in my laptop.

I am able to install SQL Server 2014 SP1 Express on Windows 10.0.10532, but it fails to install on Windows 10.0.10240.

When the installation fails, the event viewer reports:

"Cannot use file 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL12.X2014\MSSQL\Template Data\master.mdf' because it was originally formatted with sector size 4096 and is now on a volume with sector size 3072. Move the file to a volume with a sector size that is the same as or smaller than the original sector size."

fsutil fsinfo ntfsinfo c: returns the following:

As anyone can see, my disk is clearly NOT 3072 bytes/sector.

Windows 10.0.10532 agrees with my assessment.

This problem that exists in Windows 10.0.10240 has been fixed in Windows 10.0.10532 (or earlier).

As disk drive functionality is central to the proper operation of the computer, would you please see that this is corrected as soon as possible in 10.0.10240.  I would really appreciate it and I am not the only one!

By the way, as a temporary work around, I have created a vhdx drive and mounted it as a mount point folder into which I installed SQL Server SP1 Express by specifying it as the database root folder at the start of the installation process.  The installation finished without issue.

Thank you for your attention to this BUG.

In addition, this is my second posting of this issue, today.  My first posting, which was there and visible, earlier, has disappeared, apparently as part of a 'merge operation" by the "Microsoft Online Forums Team."

Please don't do that!  If the deletion was an accident, then please be more careful.  This issue contains new information, not contained in my other threads.
