Hi,

Thanks for your posting.

Group Policy Management Console (GPMC) is a scriptable Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in, providing a single administrative tool for managing Group Policy across the enterprise.

GPMC is the standard tool for managing Group Policy.

Hi Vivian,

I am still using the old GPO editor implemented in windows server 2003, I having try to download the Group Policy Management Console (GPMC) to give a shot yet.

However my questions was, Why do we create custome MMC console to manage security policy for new GPO? I mean you open cmd and type MMC and then load GPO Group Policy editor MMC and then after configure a policy and save this GPO MMC by clicking on the File Menu / Save As.   Since we can  apply GPO policy through AD users and Computers in a domain or OU or site?
