Why Slow Performance?
Hello:
Ever since a new 32-bit Windows Server 2008 Standard was put in place, most any program on our workstations that has to access files on this server runs extremely slow.
Prior to this server, we had a Windows Server 2003 in place. We moved the apps and files to this new 2008 server and pointed the workstations to it. There is a variety of operating systems on these workstations and those stations are all 32-bit.
User permissions remained the same after this "migration".
Data Execution Prevention is not turned on. Perhaps, anti-visus is an issue. But, why would it become an issue after changing servers?
In other words, I'm trying to determine what can be done to eliminate this new slowness?

You should only post your question once, not in various forum categories. Here is the link to the other identical posting already showing activity.

1st check ur performance (cpu & memory) check which process is taking too much <<this can help u identify the slowness
2nd try to disable Av & firewall ,,,and then check if the speed increased
3rd check with ur network connectivity ,maybe its from there not from the windows( last thing to think of)
hope this is helpful
