I have to admit that the various configurations of Windows Server 2102 make my head spin, so I thought it best to ask for some help.
I need to set up a simple server that will run 2-3 software packages that require users to connect via a local network or RDP (via Internet). The server will have a dedicated Port (not 3389) forwarded from the Router (which also handles DHCP. DNS, etc.).
25-40 users, both 'external' (via Internet) and local (via LAN) will need to connect to the Server to run a software program. They will need to connect to their local printers in their session.
Which version of Windows Server 2012 is best? Or what would I need to buy to create this configuration?
Essentials isn't suitable because (as I understand it) it doesn't allow more than 25 users and no more than 2 connections at one time.
