Whether SCOM Reporting component movement affect scheduled and favorite reports or not??

Hello Expert,

I'm planning to move scom reporting component to another server.  Will it affect the scheduled and favorite reports??

If yes, how to overcome this issue?  Is there anyway to backup Scheduled and Favorite reports and move to new reporting server?

Expecting your reply!!!

Hi,

if you not move also both reporting server databases it will affect scheduled reports. I'm not sure what happens to favorite reports because I allways save my custom report to MP.

I have successfully done this migration two times so I can provide you some details. But I suggest that you first try this in test environment.

Hi Karthick,

I've been busy these days.

It is exactly as it is written by Jonathan Almquist. Look Yan's links. The key is step 6.

@Ivan,

tonight I moved just my OperationsManagerDW database.

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh268492.aspx

I did not actually move any reporting services pieces. i can run reports, and my favorite reports are all still in the scom console. but when I click on Scheduled Reports, I get "The subscription '02444892-bea1-4922-8157-270713b75cbb' cannot be found. The subscription identifier that is provided to an operation cannot be located in the report server database."

any thoughts?

even weirder: my scheduled reports are still running on their schedules... i just can't view them in the scom console.

Hi Karthik,

Nice to see you here, I was facing the same issue where scheduled and custom/favorite reports not getting restored.

There is a great tool developed by Jasper Smith called Reporting Services Scripter. This tool is a .NET Windows forms application that can be used to script out and transfer all SQL Service Reporting Services catalog items.
