Where can I get the detailed information on the format of the files exported with dnscmd?
I have been looking around for over an hour now and cannot find a technical reference for the .dns file format that includes an explanation of the [AGE: nnnn] field. I need to turn the scavenging data from it into a real date/time. I found one blog entry from 2007 that was plagiarized around the internet a bit, but the math it suggests is not correct, so the information must be out of date relative to the current format. The field for that was [AGING: nnnn] and not [AGE: nnnn] for instance. These are dns files exported via dnscmd on windows 2003 servers. e.g. from my files: minint-h8aseop [AGE:3572606] 172800 A 169.11.201.113 Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.
