When running "dnscmd /Config /LocalNetPriorityNetMask 0x0000FFFF" on a Windows 2003 R2 Domain Controller I get an Access Denied Error
DNS Server failed to reset registry property. Status = 5 (0x00000005) Command failed: ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED 5 (00000005) I assume that the error is generating because the registry key itself does not exist in HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\DNS\Parameters I cannot however find what the value you should be. Any assistance in setting this command would be most helpful, I cannot see it being a permissions issue as I am a member of all required groups to provide the neccesary access.

Please run the command from elevated permissions and try again .http://www.virmansec.com/blogs/skhairuddin

Thanks for the response, but this is for a Server 2003 R2 box, there is no elevated command prompt.

Click the Start button In the Search box, type command prompt. In the list of results, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. http://www.virmansec.com/blogs/skhairuddin
