When DC is rebooted, users cannot logon when computer has been locked

In the scenario we have 3 DC's

When one of the DC is rebooted within normal working hours (Guess it is the same out of working hours - have not tested that). Users who has locked their computers, will not be able to logon when they return to their computer again. Computer has to be rebooted before they are able to login again. DC's are 2008 R2 and computeres are Windows 7.

Best regards,

Thomas

Hi

Did you set Prefered dns and alternate dns on clients. Also replication is healthy between your DC's?Check with "repadmin /replsum",and check the Dns health on DC's "dcdiag /test:dns"

Also check the ip settings on DC's with "ipconfig /all"

Yep - every AD test seems good. Also Best practise Analyser.

DNS are also good. With correct settings.

I have looking in direction of a policy which needs to be set to allow this? But have not gotten any luck so far.

Also you can check the user subnets points to right DC for logon, for AD Site and services, check the site has correct subnets.

Last if you have DHCP,also check the dns settings for scopes (006 DNS server)
