What will happend to RC0 after April 7, 2008
We have a RC0 installation running, and want to upgrade direct to RTM in June, not to RC1 first. My product key is valid until, 2008-06-30, but RC0 expires 2008-04-07 correct ?What will happend with our installtion after 2008-04-07 ? Will it be valid until the produktkey expires or will it go down when RC0 expires ?Thanks in advance, Olle, Sweden. Edit, an idea...If I upgrade my RC0 to RTM Eval version, and then in June when we will buy the real deal, can I just change product key in the eval rtmversion or do I need to reinstall my licensed rtm over the eval rtm version ?

Hi, <<My product key is valid until, 2008-06-30, but RC0 expires 2008-04-07 correct ?>> "This time-limited release of Windows Server 2008 Release Candidate will expire on April 7, 2008. After this time, you will need to uninstall the software or upgrade to a later release or a fully-licensed version of Windows Server 2008." << If I upgrade my RC0 to RTM Eval version, and then in June when we will buy the real deal, can I just change product key in the eval rtm version or do I need to reinstall my licensed rtm over the eval rtm version ?>> The following information is what I abstracted from the below link and I listed here for your reference: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=13C7300E-935C-415A-A79C-538E933D5424&displaylang=en "This software is for evaluation and testing purposes. Evaluating Windows Server 2008 software does not require product activation or entering a product key. Any edition of Windows Server 2008 may be installed without activation and evaluated for an initial 60 days. If you need more time to evaluate Windows Server 2008, the 60 day evaluation period may be reset (or re-armed) three times, extending the original 60 day evaluation period by up to 180 days for a total possible evaluation time of 240 days. After this time, you will need to uninstall the software or upgrade to a fully-licensed version of Windows Server 2008." Morgan Che
