What user do I need to use to start my website
I am running Windows Server 2008 R2 running IIS7. I host my own website. The only way that I can get the website to work properly I have to use a user who has administrative rights. I do not want to use a user who has administrative rights. Is there another user that I can use? Please advise. Thanks!

Make your site visable to all users without authentication Open IIS Manager Expand the Server tree and Site tree and click your site name. Right-Click on "Anonymous Users" and select enable. No Authentication should be required at that point. Secondly, you need to make sure that your application pool user is NT Authority\Network Service and the Computer Account needs full permissions to the folder you're allowing access to. Select the site on the left navigation pane On the Action pane, click on Advanced Settings Read the very top option; Application Pool: blah blah blah (If you don't see application pool, expand "General") Close the advanced options menu and click on Application Pools right under the Server Name on the IIS navigation pane. Click on the listed Application Pool from your site and click advanced settings on the Action pane. Under Process Module, click on the username already listed, click on the browse button with the periods on the right. [...] Select "Built-In Account" and select "Network Service" Exit the Advanced Settings Menu Right-Click on your Application Pool, click Stop, then click start again. Go back to your Site, right click, goto manage, and Restart your site. I hope that helped... For additional IIS Help, please review the forums and blogs posted at http://www.iis.net where Microsoft has a dedicated site for all things... IIS.
