What is the best way to copy a small number of WSUS updates?

Hello,

I am using Windows 2012 R2 WSUS server that is connected to the internet and another WSUS 2012 R2 server that is not connected to the internet and is an offline network.

My content data has grown to 19GB.  I have a need to copy just a few updates (critical) right away.  What is the best practice to do this?  Is it acceptable to just note the file information for the approved update and copy just the file that is needed from the directory into the same directory on the offline network,  and then export the metadata also?  Is this acceptable or is there another way to do this?

Thanks for any help!

Could you specify the internet enabled WSUS server as an upstream server on the isolated WSUS server?  Out of curiosity, how are you getting updates on the isolated server if it doesn't have internet access?
