The issue: When using the web enrollment pages I receive the error: Request Mode: newreq - New Request Disposition: (never set) Disposition message: (none) Result: The format of the specified domain name is invalid. 0x800704bc (WIN32: 1212) COM Error Info: CCertRequest::Submit: The format of the specified domain name is invalid. 0x800704bc (WIN32: 1212) LastStatus: The format of the specified domain name is invalid. 0x800704bc (WIN32: 1212) Suggested Cause: No suggestions. This happens if I choose either User template and process the request automatically, or if I manually enter a SSL request for a server using the Webserver template and pasting the PKCS#7 request. I have tried a fresh re-install a few times and end up with this problem every time. I was able to process a Webserver request manually with the certreq too and a .inf file. But I need the Web Enrollment page to work for users to be able to request their user certificates as we dont want to do everything manually.
