Web Console and UPNs

Hi All,

- SCOM 2012 R2, web console with FBA

I have a weird issue where UPNs will not work in the web console log on screen if they are not "constructed" with the actual AD domain name.

To make it a little bit more clear, let's say the AD domain is mydomain.com. A user with the UPN jdoe@mydomain.com is able to log on, but a user jsample@myotherdomain.com gets an access denied (samaccountname works!).

jsample@myotherdomain.com can log on fine to his Exchange mailbox and other services, but the OpsMgr webconsole will not work.

Has anyone seen this before? Known issue? Bug? Anyone aware of a fix, by any chance?

Thx in advance for help and/or pointers!

Hello Roger,

Thx for your reply, but I don't see how this article applies - it's about service accounts, not user logons.

Thx again!
