I am using SharePoint 2013 and trying to get all the sites created with a Site Definition called ComSiteDefinition. The sites are created correctly and I did a Full crawl. But when I go to the search center enterprise site and filter by WebTemplate:ComSiteDefinition no results are found.

Any idea why this is happening?

Im not sure how this happens to you, I have team site in my testing environment, when I go to search center, search with WebTemplate:STS, my site can be searched as expected, and after creating custom site definition, my site created based on the custom site definition can also be searched.

So, would you please make sure that the full crawl is successfully, and try with the default site definition, and check the result?

If not site definition works, please check if the managed property webtemplate is defined and mapped to crawled property in search administration->search schema.
