Hi,

I have setup the WSUS in 2008 R2 before. Now trying to setup in 2012 R2. The setting was kind of difference from my earlier setup.

I have 2 database WSUS server. DB1_WSUS and DB2_WSUS.  I have one more downstream WSUS sever (WSUS_Update)which will grab the update from these 2 database server. The purpose of this WSUS update server is to update all the patches to all the server within the server farm.

For DB1 and DB2 I did not use a SQL setting for the database, what I did was doing interlink synchronize between these 2 server via verse. I have selected WID Database and WSUS Services. After all setup completed I was trying to do IIS bindings in 8530 rename it as WSUS and select IP address all unassigned. When i did a test the page appear to have an error when I remove it and click on the link again localhost:8530 the page is working find.

Still new to this setup appreciate that anyone can give me some guidance of the setup and which is the best method for this setup

Please use the postinstall to configure the WSUS server.

• wsusutil postinstall

Thank you for the reply.

I have done using the Post installation for the binding issue I already resolve using the Server name e.g WSUS:8530 it working. Now the problem I encounter was how can download and import the the update in the Offline WSUS server which totally no internet Access.
