WPAD with Firefox
I'm having problems getting Firefox to use proxy settings that I defined in a wpad.dat file. I have a web server that is pointing to a wpad.dat file. I created an A record in DNS that points to that file. My settings in Firefox are to automatically detect settings, but it won't go out the proxy. It is working for IE8, so I know the file is good. Is there anything that I'm missing that would prevent firefox from using using the proxy? Thanks, Scott

I checked the logs on the IIS server and it appears that I am accessing the wpad.dat file, but it's just not working for some reason.2010-01-26 15:13:18 10.150.1.250 GET /wpad.dat - 80 - 10.150.55.3 Mozilla/5.0+(Windows;+U;+Windows+NT+6.1;+en-US;+rv:1.9.2)+Gecko/20100115+Firefox/3.6 200 0 0 20310.150.55.3 is my PC. 10.150.1.250 is the IIS server.Thanks,Scott

Well, I finally figured it out. It was an IPv6 setting.http://davidtse916.wordpress.com/2008/07/05/university-of-otago-firefoxs-proxy-auto-detection-problem-in-vista/
