WIndows Server 2008 R2 number of activations?
Just wondering how many times it can be reinstalled and than activated? I got it from the DreamSpark website. I hear its 5 times for Win 7 and 10 for servers, but I don't know if thats true or not. 2nd question: If I run out how do I fix it? I see you can phone activate? So do I plug in a Micophone and talk to the operator or do I type or what? See what I mean(from an other forum member): 1) Click Start, and in the Search box type: slui.exe 4 2) Next press the 'ENTER' key 3) Select your 'Country' from the list. 4) Choose the 'Phone Activation' option. 5) Stay on the phone (do not select/press any options) and wait for a person to help you with activation. 6) Explain your problem clearly to the support person. 7) The support person should give you a confirmation ID, copy it down on paper, 8) Verify the ID is correct by reading back to the support person. 9) Enter the ID number and click 'Next' to finish the activation process.

Hello, "If I run out how do I fix it?" Dreamspark support will answer this also. "I see you can phone activate?" This means to use the telephone, NOT a mikrophone, and call Microsoft Activation if no internet is available. Then you have to provide and get some activation numbers and at the end of the process your license is activated.Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.

When you first call the number you will get a robot that will ask for the numbers shown o your screen when you are following the on screen instructions. if you some how manage to mess this up, or there is a problem it will them move on to a person where you will need tpo read the numbers to them and or give them some more information. They are generally very nice happy people on the phone who will get you activeated nice and quickly. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Hi, I have never hear about the number limit of activation. Where did you see that? For licensing related issue, you’d better contact Microsoft licensing team. In the United States and Canada, you may call the licensing team directly at 1-800-426-9400 (select option 4), Monday through Friday, 6:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. (PST) to speak directly to a Microsoft licensing specialist. In this way, you will know the detailed information about license. Worldwide customers can use the Guide to Worldwide Microsoft Licensing Sites http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/worldwide.aspx to find contact information in their locations.
