We have a 2008 R2 File and Print server cluster. The nodes are IBM LS21's with Broadcoms BCM5706S NetXtreme II the NIC's a are teams in and active passive maner. On one of the nodes we have a disk attached only to that node and use it to share out install images for both Win PE, and an older Ghost style imaging program. The issues is that when using WIN PE the copy of the image takes 40-50min, were a Windows 2003 server hosting the share will only take 10min. The speed on the 2008 R2 server is fine for other copies, the slowness just appears on a WIN PE install.
