hi,

I have a Domain controller wich had received a few dot net updates when the C: partition was full. Aftet the failed update my MMC doesn't work anymore.

I get the following error when opening : MMC error CLSID: FX:{18ea3f92-d6aa-41d9-a205-2023400c8fbb}

I have tried the following: Remove all dot net stuff. No effect. I came across a few post on the net.

So I tried the Checksur tool:

So I extracted the content of the NetFX2.0-KB948609-v6001-x64.MSU update.

Renamed the update files to:

Package_for_ KB948609~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.0.6001.3053.mum

Package_for_ KB948609~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.0.6001.3053.cat

still no effect.

Also I tied replacing the following file: c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\CONFIG\machine.config

help, still no server manager, thats pretty anoying since its my domain controller

Wondering, if you had chance to go through similar dicussions ?

yes I tried the links provided. The output is displayed in my first post.

the checksur log file still indicates the same problem after the "fix"

I installed a clean windows 2008 R2 server but that server does not have the missing packages.

I still get this checksurlog:
