W32Time registry entry
How can i reinstall the W32time entry in the registry of a Windows 2008 server, located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\services somehow this entry got deleted and I need to get it back.

The best way to proceed is to restore it from a backup that dates before its deletion (a system restore backup that had been performed before the deletion).
You can also export the key from some other server in .reg format and import it in your server.

Hello,
the time reset can be achived with the following command line:
net stop w32time
w32tm /unregister
w32tm /register
net start w32time
Then you can use the domain time if it is a domain member server:
w32tm /config /syncfromflags:domhier /update
After that you have to run:
net stop w32time
net start w32time

You saved me, brother. I am trying to reconfigure w32time to use an internal time source. I exported the config key, then reconfigured the value. After running the commands the w32tm key was emptied. I imported the whole key from another dc, then w32tm
/register, and wala. I guess I will be more careful to export the ENTIRE key I am working with in the future. Thanks!field
