Hello, sometimes i have seen that the USB cable connector is a bit to short for good connection. Does the drive work on another machine?Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.

Hi, I have several USB HDDs and all of them work on my Hyper-V computers. So I think the issue you encountered is particular. As you mentioned you can see the drive in computer management(I guess you mean Disk Management), so I would like to confirm whether there are drive letters for the USB HDD. If there are, can you please right click on one of the partition of the USB HDD and select “Open”? What happen? By the way, please take a screen shot for the Disk Management, upload it to your site and then paste the link here. Best Regards, Vincent Hu

Hi, Sorry for my miss. If all the USB HDDs don’t work on the computer, I suspect that there are some issue with the computer. Please perform the following suggestions: 1. Please navigate to BIOS to see whether the USB port has been disabled. 2. If the USB port is enabled, please unplug the main hard disks on the computer, connect the USB HDD to the computer, and then boot the computer from Windows Server 2008 R2 CD/DVD, start the CMD prompt command line, use diskpart > list disk command to see whether you can see the disk.
