Hello, In my eventlog I have: Log Name: System Source: volmgr Event ID: 45 Task Category: None Level: Error Keywords: Classic Description: The system could not successfully load the crash dump driver. I found this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958933 But that fix is not for w2008r2. Is there a fix for this OS? Cheers, Jan

Is the system volume mirrored? The hotfix is for Windows Server 2008 (not R2), so it is not for the system you are using. The system only allow for dump to of the mirrored system volume only. Please check ensure that the page files and dump file location are set to the system volume. If not, please change the configuration and check the issue again. Path of dump file can be found in sysdm.cpl --- Advanced tab --- Settings button under Startup and Recovery --- Dump file line. Path of Virtual memory can be found in sysdm.cpl --- Advanced tab --- Settings button under Peformance --- Advanced tab --- Change button.
