W2008R2 Default GW appears as persistent route
Hi, Does anybody know why in W2008R2 the default gateway appears as persistent route? In my case it seems so, that I have multiple NICs and I have set one persistence route for IP 10.10.10.100 into NIC2. But now, the path after NIC2 seems to have troubles and if I try tracert command I can see, that command think a moment and goes out from NIC1 where I have default GW. If I have certain persistent route with mask 255.255.255.255 that traffic should not go out from any other NIC, or what others though? Petri

Now we found the problem beyond the NIC2. NIC2 did not received any ARP packages from its connectivity. But, why it still try to use the default GW and not only drop message: "destination unreachable..." ?Petri
