Volume missing in the Windows 2008
Hi to all, I have faced the problem Disk is Missing in the Windows 2008 server. D:\drive total size is 150 GB two disk (one -15 GB and another one - 135 GB) both are dynamic disks. Suddently Disk 135 GB disk was missing and unable to access the disk from the server. After rebooted the server 135 GB back to online and accessible. System Eventlog found this error Message. We found the event ID: 23 with Description: All paths have failed. \Device\MPIODisk2 will be removed All I have verified from SAN End there is no issue durning that time. Need to know the root cause for this issue, please anyone help on this. Regards, Sridharan. M

event ID: 23 with Description: All paths have failed. \Device\MPIODisk2 will be removed It appears to be a temporary Driver crash or path failure to me. It might be an indication of failing device as well. You might want to check for driver/firmware update for SAN which is being used.
