Vista Can't see Windows Server 2003
We have a windows server 2003 that we can ping and connect to through the address bar, but it doesn't show up on the network places on our vista machines. It does show up on the XP machines and the firewall has been disabled on the vista. Anyone have any sugesstions?

If you need any more info just let me know. I was thinking it might be a config problem on Server03 or maybe an update not installed. I haven't had a chance to check the server but if you can point me in the right way i would appreciate it

Hi Vista can not see windows 2003 server, thank you for posting in windows server forums,i understand when you navigate to my network places on Vista you are unable to see the network map Questions ======a) is vista client part of domain ?b) How is your domain structure made , how many master browsers and subnet master browsers are configured ? , c) On vista client please run the command and paste teh output start --> run --> cmd --> nbtstat -n d) how are you managing the clients in network , are you using WINS servers ?e) can you please disable the computer browser service on the vista OS and check the behavior ?sainath
