VPN issues
Guys
I have created a VPN on each client machine in a LAN behind a cisco router to access an application on a remote Win2008R2 server. The VPN works well and the users are able to access this DB via the link. The VPN server assigns a local IP that is different
from the IP on LAN.
However, whenever they connect to the VPN, they are not able to print to the local printer on the LAN (not the VPN) or even access other local servers/services. On the VPN connection I have unchecked the "use default GW etc" but they still cant use local
services when the VPN is on unless the VPN is disconnected.
Site to site VPn is not ideal in this case because the AD sits behind a Cisco router.
Is there anything I am not doing properly?

Hi Chin,
Thank you for your post.
I guess your VPN client IP and local IP are on the same network cause the route issue.
Please create a Static Pool with a different range on the VPN Server for the client machine.
If you need to RDP server after VPN, check the Remote Desktop Connection if enabled printers in Local Resource tab.
If there are more inquiries on this issue, please feel free to let us know.

Hi Rick.
On the VPN server (routing and Ras)the static IP range is 172.16.0.200 to 220.
The LAN in the client's office is 192.168.65.0/24
The users do not need RDP. They only need VPN to access the SQL database. The VPN works well and access to the DB is fine but whenever they are connected to the other site via the VPN, they cannot use any network resource on their main LAN.
What am I doing wrong? When i leave the "class based routing" checked on the network tab of the VPN connection, the network resources work but then I cant access the application DB on the VPN server.
Any help pls.
Do not follow the null pointer. it can only lead to chaos!!

Hi Chin,
1.Please provide your printer and DB server ip address.
2.When connect with "use default GW etc", post "route print", "tracert printeripaddress" result to us
3.When connect with unchecked "use default GW etc", post "route print", "tracert printeripaddress" result to us,
