Not sure if this is the right place this, so by all means move it as necassary. I connect via PPP VPN from Windows 7 PC, through netgear firewall to netgear modem/router over the internet through watchguard firebox to windows 2003 sever. The connection drop around 3 minutes but mainly on 3 minutes exactly. There is nothing showing in any logfiles on either server or on the watchguard. If I take the netgear firewall out of the equations it works, i've also tried another firewall with the same result. Has anyone any ideas why this happening? Thanks Mark

Just to let people know. We have now traced the possible cause of the problem. If I remove the firewall from this end it stays connected so we believe it could be an issue with the MTU. I will report back that for when IO reconfigure the router. Thanks Mark
