VPN and certificate

Guys,

Is it somehow possible to secure my vpn configuration(configured by Server (2008 R2 or 2012 R2) through a self signed certificate(or a different certificate?).

If so, how and will that work with domain clients connecting to that vpn or workgroup clients?

thanks in advance.

Hi,

Here is a good guide about how to configure SSTP VPN:

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc731352%28v=ws.10%29.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396

If you want to use self-signed certificate, just ignore the CA part of this guide.

Note: If we didn't use the CA, we may need to import the certificate into all of the clients' Trusted Certificate Authorities.

Best Regards.

Thansk for the reply. About the Ca part, i can compeltely skip that part ? But how do i need to create/configure selfsigned certificates? Also, what would be a ebst practice to just those?
