VPN Server Issues
I have installed the VPN Server role on Server 2008. My server has the IP address of 10.1.0.50 with a subnet of 255.255.255.0. My router acts as the DHCP server handing out addresses from the range 10.1.0.100 - 10.1.0.149. When I am connected inside my business I am able to browse and access the files on the server. Outside my business, I am able to connect to the VPN Server from an outside internet connection. However, I am assigned a subnet mask of 255.255.255.255. I cannot ping the server's IP address or anything. Is there a setting somewhere that I have missed?

Please check if you do not have overlapping ip subnets, which means that when you are outside before connecting to VPN you have ip from different subnet than 10.1.0.0. After connection to VPN you should receive ip address from 10.1.0.100 - 10.1.0.149 with subnet 255.255.255.255 (shown when you issue ipconfig /all). To be sure please post ipconfig /all from your computer before connection and after connection to vpn. addtionally please post route print after vpn connection from your computer.
