VBScript For Listing Owner & Email of Public Folders

Hello,

I am looking for a VBScript (not PowerShell) that will do the following:

>> User enters the Exchange Server Name (Exchange 2003 or Later)

>> The Script should search and list All Public Folders

>> Also, Display the Owner Name and Email address of each public folder

I have been searching for the same VBScript; but no result. Please help.

Thanks.

Hi Bill,

Actually, I did refer to the following:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/exchange/aa143732(v=exchg.65).aspx.

That one is applicable to Exchange 2003 only. However, I am looking for a VBScript that will work on All Exchange Server versions later that 2003.

Thanks

Hi,

Your search engine skills may need some exercise. Here's a very early result from 'vbscript exchange public folders' query (using DDG):

http://www.activexperts.com/admin/scripts/vbscript/0413/

You'll need to adjust it, of course, but this should give you a good start.

EDIT:

That one is applicable to Exchange 2003 only. However, I am looking for a VBScript that will work on All Exchange Server versions later that 2003.

Most everything you'll find posted on random sites will probably need adjustment. Unless the script is being released by Microsoft, I doubt anyone is going to put in the time to make sure their script works on every version if they don't have to.

Hi Mike,

As I said, I did a lot of searching; and I did see that script from activexperts. However, that is not what I am looking for. I have mentioned the reasons in my previous response to Bill. As a matter of fact, the msdn link that I mentioned is a much better script than activexpert.

As noted, it is unlikely that you will find a script that someone wrote that does exactly what you need so you will need to adjust what you find to do what you need. Please remember that we are volunteers and don't have the resources to write scripts to spec on demand. (That would be free consulting work.)
