Using remote assitance as a published application in Citrix to offer support
Good Afternoon, We are looking at giving some of our remote users the ability to provide remote assistance to other remote users. Currently, our remote users access our systems using Citrix. The Citrix servers that would be housing the published application are Windows 2003 SP2, Citrix is Presentation Server 4.0. In looking in Windows XP\2003, I see Remote Assistance on the All Programs menu. The properties show it pointing to %systemroot%\system32\rcimbly.exe -LaunchRA. This will launch the Remote Assistance window, but only allow you to invite someone to remote assist. Is there an /offerra switch that is available in Server 2003. We would rather the end users not have to initiate the Remote Assist request. We do have the Shadow Bar available from the Citrix console, but were looking at other alternatives I have seen posts online on various sites about using Internet Explorer and adding a long address, but this posts is from 2004, so I am not sure just how applicable it would be today. Thank You Brian Dougherty
