Using Azure Blob Storage for Windows 8.1 App
Newbie Question. I have about 700 images in Azure blob storage that load picture to a Windows 8.1 App. All is well. The response time seems appropriate and does not time out. Before I release the App the the MS Store I would like to know that hundreds or (hopefully thousands) of people could simultaneously use the App might bog it down. Do I need to do anything from an Azure standpoint BEFORE I release the App? Tha

Hi Frank,

You might have to look into Best Practices once before release.

Thank you for Manu the quick reply. My concern is i do not have the experience to know what the affect on Azure would be if 10000 people were accessing the same images at the same time.  Logic suggests that at some point the responsiveness of the App would be affected. Is there any way to anticipate "when" problems may occur or is there a way to preempt issues but changing something in Azure? Or maybe I just release the App and see how if goes, but that sounds risky. Any other thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

You can use Azure Diagnostics to measure performance, monitoring resource usage, traffic analysis and other parameters. Depending on the data collected, you will be able to understand the performance metrics and will also get to know the cause of any problems.
